How to Estimate Your Hot Melt Coverage

We know how frustrating it can be to estimate the cost and coverage of hot melt. Here is some simple math for figuring out your hot melt cost and coverage to simplify your life.

DOTS: Dispensing in dots can be calculated by estimated dot size.
(Dots per piece x pieces per hour) = dots per hour/dots per pound = glue pounds per hour

LINEAR: You need to know your line size to estimate how much hot melt your application will use.
(Feet per applications x applications per hour) = total feet per hour/feet per lb. = glue pounds per hour needed
